Event Overview

Cybersecurity incidents are increasing, and their legal consequences are getting more significant. Coupled with the changing nature of Privacy and Data-Protection laws, it is fundamental to remain up to date on your Cybersecurity + Legal (Cyber Security | Law) obligations.

Whether you are new to the company, or a member of the Board / Executive team, you have legal obligations relating to cybersecurity. Understanding cybersecurity from both a technical and legal standpoint is crucial. This ensures appropriate protections are in place to prevent cyber incidents and guarantees that your legal obligations are practically met. As a result, Bluerydge, an award-winning cybersecurity firm’ and AQMN, a Defence focused commercial law firm, have partnered together to provide a comprehensive and new ‘Cyber Security | Law’ seminar.

Join us on Thursday 22 August 2024, at 12:00pm (AEST), as presenters Adam Haskard (Bluerydge) and Matthew Bautz (AQMN) cover:
• An introduction to Cybersecurity; and Privacy and Data Protection laws
• Cybersecurity Essentials
• Privacy & Data Protection obligations – Criminal & Civil Liability
• How to create a Cyber Aware Culture
• Responding to a Cyber Event / Data Breach

Understanding the importance of ensuring the Australian Defence Industry remains secure, Bluerydge & AQMN are proud to be partnering together to present this one-hour webinar for the benefit of AIDN members and non-members alike.

Please note, the session will include time for attendees to ask the presenters questions so take the opportunity to pick the brains of our Cybersecurity and Legal experts!

Registrations are essential and will be checked against the AIDN Membership. Non-members are not permitted to attend. Registration closes Thursday 22nd August at 9:00am AEST. A link to the WebEx Webinar will be sent to all registered attendees the morning of the 22nd August 2024.
